Our Professional Development Program provides several options for the Project Management Professional. We offer an Associate Certificate in Project Management based upon three carefully developed courses that provide the learning professional with a clearly defined toolset to actually leave the classroom and immediately apply what you have learned.

The second option is an Advanced Certificate in Project Management. The Advanced Certificate Program is developed with the UMD PM Staff to identify and develop specific coursework that best fits the needs and level of learning requirements of your organization. There is a broad array of academic coursework that can be leveraged to meet your requirements as well as other unique seminars that we will work with you to develop. We have been extremely successful with this approach and would be delighted to explore this Option with you and you Team.

The third option is the Executive Certificate in Project Management. The Executive Certificate is provided for experienced Project Management Professionals and centers on a series three seminars with UMD Project Management Program Staff. These seminars investigate issues of concern for the Executives in attendance, advanced problem solving techniques, positive workplace and Global issues in Project Management. These Seminars are provided in an Offsite venue with overnight lodging and meals included.

The Professional Development Program is only available to clients having 10 to 15 or more students depending on the level of the certificate. The courses are not available for individual open enrollment. Coursework can be provided in a number of venues including on-site and at UMD facilities. Our Distance Education Technology and Services Classrooms as well as online learning provide unique alternatives to enhance the Project Management Learning experience.
We also offer a PMP preparation course to achieve certification for your professional project management expertise.
All instruction is consistent with the Project Management Institutes’ PMBOK™ Guide. The A.J. Clark School of Engineering, University of Maryland, brings these certificate programs to you. Through the use of lectures, exercises, sophisticated case studies, and classroom discussion, you will gain both practical knowledge that can be applied to current projects and basic knowledge that will aid in preparation for the PMI™ certification examination if that is objective.
